Six Honda Models Earn Top Safety Ratings

003 2021 Honda Accord Hybrid 1200x900 1

Honda is proud to announce that six of its 2021 models have earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick rating or better, with three models earning the coveted Top Safety Pick+ rating. In order to achieve these high ratings, vehicles must earn the highest rating in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests, in addition to earning high ratings for their front crash prevention systems and headlights.

The 2021 Honda Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, and CR-V all earned the TSP rating, and the 2021 Honda Accord, Insight, and Odyssey earned the TSP+ rating. This was in part due to Honda Sensing being available or standard on every Honda vehicle, which offers a comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies like Collision Mitigation Braking and Lane Departure Warning.

Now there are over four million Honda vehicles on U.S. roads with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features, making the roads safer for all drivers and passengers. Honda also uses its Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure for its vehicles, which helps protect occupants in a wide range of collision types.
