Honda Vehicles Named Best Cars for the Money

2021 Honda Passport

The 2021 Honda CR-V, Odyssey, and Passport have all been named a “Best Car for the Money” by U.S. News and World Report in their respective classes. These awards measure both quality and value and are based on an overall score. Quality measures reliability, safety and expert opinions in the industry, and value is based on the five-year total cost to own and current purchase prices.

Honda’s CR-V won the award in the compact SUV category, thanks to its low ownership costs and incredible practicality. “The CR-V is proof that a top-ranked car doesn’t have to be a budget buster,” said U.S. News & World Report Executive Editor Jaime Paige Deaton.

The 2021 Honda Passport took the award in the two-row SUV category thanks to its perfect balance of both value and quality. Even when compared to less expensive SUVs in the segment, the Passport still offers better value thanks to its long-term ownership costs in addition to its generous amounts of space, comfortable interior, and excellent driving dynamics.

In the minivan category, the Honda Odyssey beat all other competitors with its spacious, yet luxurious interior that offers the features families need and its incredible value. The variety of trim levels are priced right, and offer buyers exactly what they need.

Six Honda Models Earn Top Safety Ratings

2021 Honda Accord

Honda is proud to announce that six of its 2021 models have earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick rating or better, with three models earning the coveted Top Safety Pick+ rating. In order to achieve these high ratings, vehicles must earn the highest rating in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests, in addition to earning high ratings for their front crash prevention systems and headlights.

The 2021 Honda Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, and CR-V all earned the TSP rating, and the 2021 Honda Accord, Insight, and Odyssey earned the TSP+ rating. This was in part due to Honda Sensing being available or standard on every Honda vehicle, which offers a comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies like Collision Mitigation Braking and Lane Departure Warning.

Now there are over four million Honda vehicles on U.S. roads with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features, making the roads safer for all drivers and passengers. Honda also uses its Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure for its vehicles, which helps protect occupants in a wide range of collision types.
