Honda Debuts All-New 2022 Civic Hatchback

2022 Honda Civic Hatchback

The newest addition to the 2022 Honda Civic lineup is the all-new Civic Hatchback, which joins the sedan as a member of the 11th-generation Civic family. Honda is promising that this is the most fun-to-drive Civic Hatchback ever, with a sportier driving experience and the return of the 6-speed manual transmission as an option.

With its sleek Euro-inspired styling and hatchback versatility, the 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback is the perfect combination of sporty and practical. The 2022 Civic Hatchback will also be built in the United States for the first time ever at Honda’s Greensburg, Indiana auto plant.

Engine options are a standard naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder, or an upgraded 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 180 horsepower. Ride and handling have been improved from the last generation as well, and the driving experience is more dynamic and exciting than ever before.

Like the 2022 Honda Civic Sedan, the Civic Hatchback gets all of the tech features upgraded for the new generation, including an updated Honda Sensing suite of safety features, an available 9-inch color touchscreen and 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and optional Bose premium sound system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are also available with the 9-inch infotainment system.

Honda Unveils All-New 2022 Civic Sedan

2022 Honda Civic Sedan

Honda has recently unveiled the all-new 2022 Honda Civic Sedan, which is the 11th generation in the model’s nearly 50 year history. The all-new Civic features a clean, modern design, luxurious interior, new technology, and advanced safety features. Honda also made sure to retain and improve the class-leading driving dynamics and efficiency that the Honda Civic is known for.

Since its introduction in 1973, Honda has sold more than 12 million Civics in the United States, making it one of the top three best selling passenger cars over the past five decades. The Honda Civic is especially popular with first-time car buyers and younger car buyers looking for something fun yet practical.

“Civic has been the go-to choice for compact car buyers for almost 50 years and the all-new 11th-generation Honda Civic builds on that leadership with simple and sporty styling inside and out, best-in-class features and class-leading performance,” said Dave Gardner of Honda.

Some additional features included on the 2022 Honda Civic are a new standard 7-inch touch screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an available Bose premium sound system, available wireless phone charging, a more powerful and efficient 1.5-liter turbo engine. Honda has also upgraded the safety features and Honda Sensing technology, including a new available Traffic Jam Assist and Low Speed Braking Control.

Honda Vehicles Named Best Cars for the Money

2021 Honda Passport

The 2021 Honda CR-V, Odyssey, and Passport have all been named a “Best Car for the Money” by U.S. News and World Report in their respective classes. These awards measure both quality and value and are based on an overall score. Quality measures reliability, safety and expert opinions in the industry, and value is based on the five-year total cost to own and current purchase prices.

Honda’s CR-V won the award in the compact SUV category, thanks to its low ownership costs and incredible practicality. “The CR-V is proof that a top-ranked car doesn’t have to be a budget buster,” said U.S. News & World Report Executive Editor Jaime Paige Deaton.

The 2021 Honda Passport took the award in the two-row SUV category thanks to its perfect balance of both value and quality. Even when compared to less expensive SUVs in the segment, the Passport still offers better value thanks to its long-term ownership costs in addition to its generous amounts of space, comfortable interior, and excellent driving dynamics.

In the minivan category, the Honda Odyssey beat all other competitors with its spacious, yet luxurious interior that offers the features families need and its incredible value. The variety of trim levels are priced right, and offer buyers exactly what they need.

Six Honda Models Earn Top Safety Ratings

2021 Honda Accord

Honda is proud to announce that six of its 2021 models have earned the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick rating or better, with three models earning the coveted Top Safety Pick+ rating. In order to achieve these high ratings, vehicles must earn the highest rating in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests, in addition to earning high ratings for their front crash prevention systems and headlights.

The 2021 Honda Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, and CR-V all earned the TSP rating, and the 2021 Honda Accord, Insight, and Odyssey earned the TSP+ rating. This was in part due to Honda Sensing being available or standard on every Honda vehicle, which offers a comprehensive suite of driver-assist technologies like Collision Mitigation Braking and Lane Departure Warning.

Now there are over four million Honda vehicles on U.S. roads with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistance features, making the roads safer for all drivers and passengers. Honda also uses its Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure for its vehicles, which helps protect occupants in a wide range of collision types.
