2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid is an IIHS Top Safety Pick

2020 Honda Cr V Hybrid

The all-new 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid has joined the rest of the CR-V lineup and four other Honda vehicles in earning the IIHS Top Safety Pick designation, with the Honda Insight earning the Top Safety Pick+ rating.

Honda has made its Honda Sensing® suite of active safety features standard on all CR-V models for 2020, including the CR-V Hybrid. This comprehensive suite of safety features includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System and Adaptive Cruise Control.

Every Honda vehicle also features the company’s proprietary Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, which is designed to protect occupants in a variety of frontal collision scenarios. All Honda vehicles also come with advanced supplemental restraint systems.

In order to earn a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS, a vehicle must get “Good” scores in all crashworthiness tests, and must get an “Advanced” or “Superior” rating for its crash prevention technology. Vehicles also must get a “Good” or “Acceptable” rating for its either standard or available headlights.
