Honda has pushed the midsize SUV benchmark forward again with the refreshed 2026 Honda Pilot. Built for families that want real capability and everyday comfort, the latest Pilot introduces a bold new design, major technology upgrades, and a noticeably more rewarding driving experience.

New Styling That Signals Strength

The 2026 Pilot brings a more confident road presence with a redesigned front fascia, a larger grille, and updated front and rear scuff plates. Each trim carries its own character, from the sleek black grille on Sport and EX-L to the glossy finishes on Touring, Elite, and Black Edition models. TrailSport stands out with a gray grille, exclusive rear scuff plate styling, and orange accents on its PILOT badging. Three new exterior colors, including Solar Silver Metallic, Smoke Blue Pearl, and the TrailSport exclusive Ash Green Metallic, add even more personality. Honda added roof rails to every trim this year, expanding both function and style. Touring and Elite models now ride on new Shark Gray wheels, while the Black Edition introduces Berlina Black alloy wheels for a striking finish.

Even with a segment-leading vehicle like the Honda Pilot, our engineers never stop improving. From bold new styling and advanced technology to a more refined driving experience, the 2026 Pilot delivers meaningful upgrades inside and out—continuing to set the benchmark in the midsize three-row SUV category.

A Cabin Designed for Modern Families

Inside, the Pilot moves to an even more premium and tech-forward atmosphere. A new ultra-wide 12.3-inch touchscreen replaces the previous display and brings a smoother, more intuitive interface. The Digital Instrument Cluster grows to 10.2 inches, creating a cleaner and more immersive view of essential driving information. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Google built-in, and 5G Wi-Fi capability now come standard, giving the entire lineup a major tech upgrade that families will appreciate from the first drive.

Honda reduced cabin noise by adding new glass, additional insulation, and upgraded sound-absorbing materials. Touring and Elite models further enhance quietness with enclosed fender liners, which help create a more serene atmosphere during long drives.Ā Premium seating materials appear throughout the lineup. Touring adds new high-contrast accents, while Elite and Black Edition models receive quilted Ultra Suede details that elevate every row. TrailSport now offers an available brown leather interior with orange stitching, along with new standard heated second row outboard seats for winter comfort.

A More Confident and Enjoyable Drive

Honda engineers focused on creating a more refined and reassuring driving experience. The Pilot now uses a retuned electric power steering system that offers a more natural feel, better precision, and a stronger on-center weight that reduces effort during highway cruising. Noise reduction improvements also support a calmer, more composed ride. Selectable drive modes, including Normal, Econ, Snow, Sport, and Tow, allow the Pilot to adapt to changing conditions. All-wheel-drive models in EX-L and above also offer Sand and Trail modes for improved off-road control. Hill Descent Control is now standard across all trims.

Under the hood, every Pilot continues to use a strong 3.5-liter DOHC V6 with 285 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A smooth 10-speed automatic transmission is tuned specifically for the Pilot and responds instantly during passing, merging, or towing. The available i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system remains one of the most advanced in the segment and can shift torque between both the front and rear axles, as well as between the left and right rear wheels. This design helps the Pilot maintain sharp handling on pavement while providing confidence on dirt, mud, snow, and uneven terrain.

TrailSport Strengthens Its Off-Road Credentials

Families who want real capability away from pavement will find the 2026 Pilot TrailSport ready for adventure. It continues to carry exclusive hardware such as a raised off-road suspension, steel skid plates, and rugged all-terrain tires. These upgrades improve ground clearance, articulation, and grip on challenging terrain while keeping the Pilot comfortable during daily driving. TrailSport’s new color choices, cabin options, and standard heated second row seats add comfort and personality to its rugged purpose.

Safety That Supports Every Journey

Safety remains at the heart of the Pilot’s design. Every model features the Honda Sensing suite with Collision Mitigation Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Road Departure Mitigation. Honda’s ACE body structure and advanced airbag technology help manage crash forces and improve occupant protection. A new Post-Collision Braking system is now standard and helps reduce additional impact after an initial collision.

A Stronger, Smarter, and More Capable Three-Row SUV

With more technology, a bolder design, a quieter cabin, and meaningful improvements to steering and refinement, the 2026 Honda Pilot continues to set the standard for midsize three-row SUVs. Families who want comfort, capability, and long-term dependability will find even more to appreciate when the refreshed Pilot arrives at dealerships next month.
