2026 Honda Accord Adds Tech Upgrades & Sportier Styling
The refreshed 2026 Honda Accord has officially begun arriving at dealerships, and it introduces meaningful updates that reinforce why the Accord continues to be a standout midsize sedan. Honda focused this model year on expanding standard technology, refining exterior styling, and strengthening its hybrid-electric lineup, all while keeping the Accord accessible with a starting MSRP of $28,395¹ for the well-equipped Accord LX.
The 11th-generation Accord continues to resonate with a diverse range of buyers, including Millennial, Gen Z, and multicultural customers, and we're incredibly proud of that. For the 2026 model, we're raising the bar even higher, offering a vehicle that not only meets their needs but delivers advanced tech features, sporty styling, and premium driving experience for every driver who gets behind the wheel.

One of the most notable updates for the 2026 model year is that every Honda Accord now includes a larger 9 inch color touchscreen as standard equipment. The display is nearly 30 percent larger than before and remains easy to use thanks to a physical volume knob. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto⢠compatibility are now standard across the lineup, allowing drivers to connect without cables. A Qi-compatible 15W wireless phone charger is also standard on every Accord, helping keep devices powered during daily commutes and longer drives.
Honda also enhanced the exterior styling on select trims to give the Accord a sportier and more refined appearance. The turbocharged Accord SE now features larger 19 inch alloy wheels with an aggressive five-spoke design, adding visual impact and improved road presence. Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid models gain new black exterior accents for 2026, including black window trim and black decklid badging, which complement the black door mirrors, black shark fin antenna, and gloss-black B-pillar trim already featured on these trims.

Efficiency continues to be a defining strength of the Accord lineup, with hybrid-electric models representing more than 50 percent of Accord sales in 2025. The Accord Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring are powered by Hondaās advanced two-motor hybrid system, delivering a total system output of 204 horsepower and 247 lb.-ft. of torque. These hybrid models offer smooth, responsive acceleration along with outstanding EPA fuel economy ratings of up to 51 mpg³ city and 48 mpg³ combined on the Accord EX-L Hybrid. The hybrid system operates without a traditional transmission or CVT, relying instead on the coordinated operation of two motors to provide efficient power delivery. Linear Shift Control further enhances the driving experience by creating a speed-linked feel that mirrors the response of a conventional drivetrain.
Drivers who prefer a turbocharged gasoline engine will find strong performance in the Accord LX and SE. Both trims are powered by a 1.5 liter turbo engine with VTECĀ® variable valve lift technology, producing 192 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 192 lb.-ft. of torque from 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission featuring Step-Shift programming, which simulates gear changes under acceleration to deliver a more engaging driving experience.
Safety remains a central focus of the Honda Accord, guided by the companyās long-standing āSafety for Everyoneā philosophy. Every 2026 Accord comes standard with the Honda SensingĀ® suite of driver-assistive technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking Systemā¢, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Jam Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition System, Road Departure Mitigation, and Forward Collision Warning. Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Monitor is standard on Accord SE and higher trims.
In addition to advanced driver-assistive technology, the 11th-generation Accord features the Honda Advanced Compatibility Engineering⢠body structure, designed to help protect occupants in a wide range of frontal collisions. Advanced front airbags include a donut-shaped driverās airbag and a three-chamber passenger airbag engineered to help reduce head rotation during angled impacts. Side airbags, driver and front-passenger knee airbags, side-curtain airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, Rear Seat Reminder, and Rear Seatbelt Reminder are all standard across the Accord lineup.
With expanded standard technology, refined styling updates, efficient and powerful powertrain options, and a continued commitment to safety, the 2026 Honda Accord builds on its legacy as Americaās most popular midsize car among Millennial, Gen Z, first-time, and multicultural buyersāµ. The latest updates ensure the Accord remains a smart and compelling choice for todayās drivers.
