Introducing the 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid

An all new Honda Accord will be arriving soon at dealerships across the nation. The 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid will be the newest addition to the Accord family. This spacious midsize hybrid sedan will offer outstanding performance, efficiency, comfort and sophisticated styling at a modest price point.

The new Honda Accord Hybrid will be available in five trim levels: Hybrid, EX, EX-L, EX-L Navi and Touring. It is well equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights (low beam) and taillights, dual-zone climate control, Smart entry with Push-button Start, a 7-inch TFT digital driver’s meter and a multi-angle rearview camera. New Honda Accord Hybrid models also feature the Honda Sensing® suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies including, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation, Collision Mitigation Braking System™, Lane Departure Warning, and Traffic Sign Recognition.

2018 Honda Accord Hybrid Interior

Powered by Honda’s third generation two-motor hybrid powertrain, this model is one of the most efficient models to date. The 2.0-liter DOHC i-VTEC® Atkinson-cycle inline-4 engine with 40-percent thermal efficiency is paired with an electric propulsion motor that churns out 232 lb.-ft. of torque for a class-leading total system output of 212 horsepower. This innovative two-motor system operates seamlessly shifting between three different drive operations: EV Drive (100-percent electric motor), Hybrid Drive (electric motor and gasoline engine [driving the generator motor]) and Engine Drive (gasoline engine) to best accommodate specific driving conditions.

2018 Honda Accord Hybrid Engine

2018 Honda Accord Hybrid models have a 2.16 inch longer wheelbase and a 32-percent smaller intelligent power unit (IPU) that is now mounted under the rear floor instead of in the trunk. This allows for the inclusion of a 60/40-split rear seat and as much passenger and cargo space as is found in non-hybrid Accord models. New Honda Accord Hybrid owners will enjoy 122.3 cubic feet of interior space, 16.7 cubic feet of cargo space and 40.4 inches of rear legroom.
