All-New 2017 Honda Ridgeline Unveiled at NAIAS

Honda is set to bring new levels of innovation, style and capability to the midsize truck market with the all-new 2017 Honda Ridgeline. Honda’s new truck was unveiled at this year’s North American International Auto Show, and will launch in the first half of this year.

The 2017 Ridgeline offers many features that its competitors can’t, such as a four-foot-wide flat bed, an In-Bed Trunk, dual-action tailgate and the industry’s first in-bed audio system. Honda is also promising superior on-road performance, with segment-best handling, ride quality, quietness and excellent all-weather capability thanks to an available i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system.

Honda is also targeting best-in-class acceleration and EPA fuel economy ratings with its powerful 3.5-liter direct-injected i-VTEC V6 engine and six-speed automatic transmission. The Ridgeline is expected to receive excellent safety ratings as well, thanks to its ACE body structure and available Honda Sensing suite of driver-assist technologies.

The Ridgeline will also have the largest, most versatile and high-quality cabin of any midsize four-door pickup, with available leather trim, tri-zone climate control and 8-inch Display Audio touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. A 60/40-split folding second-row seat provides great versatility for carrying both people and cargo.

2017 Honda Ridgeline Bed

Unlike other midsize four-door pickup trucks, the Ridgeline’s bed has a full four feet between the wheel arches to allow for hauling of items like sheets of plywood or drywall. The new composite bed is also UV-stabilized and scratch-resistant, with a number of segment exclusive features.

The standard In-Bed Trunk provides a secure, lockable and weatherproof storage space with a drain plug for easy cleaning. The bed also features eight 350-pound tie down cleats, an available 400-watt power inverter and a unique 540-watt audio system with speaker exciters located inside the bed walls, making it the ultimate tailgating vehicle.
