Honda Accord Sedan vs. Nissan Altima

The 2018 Honda Accord Sedan LX CVT and the 2018 Nissan Altima 2.5 S are comparably priced and similar in many ways. There are slight differences in performance, safety ratings, passenger space and cargo volume between these two models. The new Honda Accord Sedan LX CVT delivers 192 horsepower @5500 rpm while the new Nissan Altima 2.5 S delivers 179 horsepower @6000 rpm. Both models have high safety ratings. In NHTSA Front Passenger Crash Test, Overall Side Barrier Crash Test and Rollover Safety ratings the new Accord earned a five star rating and the Altima earned four stars. The Honda Accord offers a bit more interior space than the Altima with 105.6 cu. ft. of passenger room compared to 101.9 cu.ft. of passenger volume in the Nissan Altima. Differences in maximum cargo volume exist as well with the Accord offering 16.7 cu. ft. compared to 15.4 cu. ft. of cargo space in the Altima.
Although both vehicles are well equipped with driver friendly amenities there are a few differences between standard comfort features. The new Honda Accord includes standard Dual Zone Climate Control, Automatic Climate Control and an illuminated vanity mirror while none of these features are available on the new Altima. New Accord models are also equipped with an Anti-Theft stereo feature and folding side mirrors not available on the Altima.
