Prototype Offers Glimpse of 2019 Honda Insight
Honda will debut a new Honda Insight prototype at the North American International Auto Show next month. This new model is a precursor to the all-new 2019 Honda Insight and utilizes Honda’s new two-motor hybrid system, scheduled to launch next summer.
The new 2019 Honda Insight has been re-crafted with dynamic new styling, upgraded performance, new premium features and is positioned to be a fierce contender in the new Hybrid market. This redesigned five-passenger sedan will be the newest electrified vehicle in the Honda lineup.
“With its sophisticated styling, dynamic stance, ample interior space and best-in-class performance, the all-new Insight embodies Honda’s approach to creating electrified vehicles without the typical tradeoffs,” said Henio Arcangeli, Jr., senior vice president of Automobile Sales and general manager of the Honda Division, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “You won’t have to be an electrification advocate to appreciate the new Insight – it’s a great car in its own right, independent of what’s happening under the hood.”
Production of the new Honda Insight will begin soon at Honda’s Greensburg, Indiana plant where both the Civic and CR-V are built. New Honda Insight models are expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships early next year.
