2017 Honda Ridgeline Receives IIHS Safety Award
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has chosen the new 2017 Honda Ridgeline as a recipient of their Top Safety Pick + award. This award is the highest possible safety rating granted by the IIHS. For 2017 the IIHS implemented more stringent safety requirements, including a new headlight evaluation, and the Ridgeline was one of three Honda models to receive the highest rating.
The Honda Ridgeline is equipped with a full suite of safety features. Available LED headlights and the latest advanced safety from Honda Sensing make the Ridgeline one of the safest trucks on the road. This suite of safety and driver assist technologies includes features like Lane Keeping Assist System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation Braking System and Road Departure Mitigation System.
All Honda vehicles in 2017 come standard with a multi-angle rearview camera, Advance Compatibility Engineering body structure, Vehicle Stability Assist with traction control, an Anti-lock Braking System and advanced front, front side and side curtain airbags.
The Honda Sensing safety suite comes standard on Ridgeline RTL-E and Black Edition trim levels, and is available on other Honda models including the Civic, Accord, CR-V and Pilot. The Accord, Pilot and Civic also received Top Safety Pick awards from the IIHS when equipped with Honda Sensing, with the Accord Sedan, Pilot and Ridgeline with Honda Sensing and specific headlights earning the Top Safety Pick+ award.
The 2017 Honda Ridgeline was also named to Car and Driver’s 10Best Trucks and SUVs list and was a finalist in the 2017 North American Truck of the Year award. If you are interested in learning more about the Top Safety Pick contact our Honda Dealership near Atlanta, GA.
