All-New 2016 Honda Civic Coupe in Atlanta – Ed Voyles Honda
The 2016 Honda Civic Coupe made its global debut this week at the 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show, with sporty styling, a pair of all-new engines and the latest connected technology. The new Civic Coupe also now features more interior room, with more passenger space and an additional five inches of rear legroom.
Set to arrive at Honda dealerships in the Atlanta area in early 2016, the new Civic Coupe has been completely reengineered. A new 2.0-liter i-VTEC engine is standard, offering more power and better fuel economy than the previous 1.8-liter engine. Also available is Honda’s new 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, which produces an impressive 174 hp and is expected to achieve EPA ratings of up to 42 mpg highway.
The Civic Coupe features Honda’s newest Android OS-based 7-inch Display Audio touchscreen infotainment system. Compatible with both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone-connectivity platforms, the new infotainment system also can be equipped with a new Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System developed together with Garmin.
When it comes to styling, the 2016 Civic Coupe takes the design of the 2016 Civic Sedan and amplifies it, with a longer wheelbase, wider body and shortened front and rear overhangs, giving the Civic Coupe a more planted look and feel. Unique C-shaped LED taillights stretch across the rear deck lid and give the Coupe a distinctive design.
The 2016 Honda Civic Coupe uses Honda’s next generation Advanced Compatibility Body Structure, which works in conjunction with advanced airbags and seatbelts for excellent safety performance. The new Honda Sensing suite of advanced safety and driver-assistive technologies is also available.
