2017 Honda CR-V – Dealer Review
For two decades the Honda CR-V has been America’s best-selling SUV. Now in it’s fifth generation, the new 2017 Honda CR-V has been completely redesigned and reengineered. This new model will have bold new styling, upscale interior and will be powered by the first-ever turbocharged engine.
New exterior styling for the 2017 CR-V include crisp, sharp front-end design, stylized signature Honda LED headlights and a new Active Shutter Grille that lowered aerodynamic drag. Wide, muscular fenders, a longer wheelbase and extended hood give the CR-V a more sophisticated and athletic presence.
The new Honda CR-V will be available with several new convenience features such as a Hands-Free Access Power Tailgate, auto high beam headlights, rain-sensing windshield wipers and roof rails. Many other genuine Honda accessories will be available for this new model, allowing for expanded customization at each trim level. Additional comfort and convenience features available for the new CR-V include, heated front seats, dual-zone climate controls, heated side mirrors, electric parking brake and rear USB charging ports.
Inside the cabin are new premium features not found on other compact SUVs in the same class. A soft-touch instrument panel, intricately stitched seats and a new information interface in the center display, create a winning combination of style and function. The 2017 CR-V also offers the latest in-vehicle connectivity with a 7-inch touchscreen display audio interface that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. New CR-Vs equipped with this system, will allow drivers to use voice-controlled search features for GPS navigation and audio controls.
Perhaps the most exciting new feature on the new 2017 Honda CR-V (EX model) is the first ever turbocharged engine. This 1.5-liter DOHC, direct-injected and turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine delivers 190 horsepower and exceptionally responsive performance. With newly enhanced power and a more aerodynamic body design the new turbocharged CR-V is expected to offer some of the highest EPA fuel economy ratings in the compact SUV class.
“The new Honda CR-V raises the bar in every imaginable way, delivering more performance, space and premium content together with higher fuel economy ratings and value than ever before,” said Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division. “Customers are going to love what they see and what they experience behind the wheel of this new CR-V.”
