2017 Honda CR-V & Ridgeline Win Car & Driver Awards

The 2017 Honda CR-V and 2017 Honda Ridgeline have both been included in the 2017 Car and Driver’s 10Best Trucks and SUVs list. These Honda vehicles are no stranger to Car and Driver’s “10Best” lists with back to back mentions year after year. With these two new vehicles recognized for excellence, the Honda lineup is proving itself yet again.

The all-new Honda CR-V and Honda Ridgeline were named as the best vehicles in their segments. Car and Driver experts tested, and examined a variety of vehicles in different performance arenas. All of the entrants were judged on ride, handling, safety, technology, comfort, practicality and fuel efficiency.

As America’s bestselling SUV, millions are already aware of why the Honda CR-V is an excellent choice when looking for a compact SUV. Car and Driver said the newest CR-V “is the compact crossover SUV distilled to its near-perfect essence, blending engaging dynamics, master-class interior practicality, and a pleasing demeanor into a deeply satisfying whole.”

The 2017 Honda CR-V was completely redesigned this year, with all-new modern styling, a new available 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, an upgraded interior and plenty of storage space. All-wheel drive is available, and EPA fuel economy ratings are up to 28 mpg city and 34 mpg highway.

2017 Honda Ridgeline Traveling

Honda’s second-generation Ridgeline truck debuted this year, and was immediately recognized for its winning combination of capability, efficiency, driving dynamics and comfort. The 2017 Honda Ridgeline uses exclusive unit-body construction for superior ride and handling and less noise, vibration and harshness without having to sacrifice payload and towing capacity.

The Ridgeline offers many class-exclusive features, including an in-bed trunk, truck-bed audio and a dual-action tailgate. The Ridgeline also has excellent performance thanks to its powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine, and is rated at an impressive 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway for front-wheel drive models.

Honda Winning Features:

With an abundance of comfort and safety features, impressive cargo and passenger space as well as remarkable fuel efficiency, the Honda Pilot was awarded the Best Buy title for the midsize crossover SUV class. Specific features from “Honda Sensing” safety technology such as lane-departure warning, road departure mitigation and adaptive cruise control were considered best in this vehicle class.

The all-new Honda Ridgeline was recognized for offering the best comfort, convenience and on-road driving dynamics of any small pickup. Practical utility features, new technology and a front-wheel drive chassis with independent rear suspension all contributed to the winning Best Buy title in the compact-pickup segment.

Excellent cargo room and passenger space helped earn the Honda HR-V Best Buy award. Editors noted the folding seat bottoms of the second row seat for use in hauling tall items. Lively handing and a comfortable ride were also predominant factors in setting this subcompact SUV apart from the crowd.
